Este 9 de mayo, en las salas de cine del país, se estrenan dos nuevas producciones nacionales: Yo vi tres luces negras de Santiago Lozano que lleva al espectador a un viaje místico por el Pacífico colombiano; y Sobre la mesa, documental dirigido por Elvira Hernández, que presenta un diálogo entre estudiantes y profesores sobre los desafíos y aspiraciones de la educación pública en Colombia. Ambas películas son beneficiarias del Fondo para el Desarrollo Cinematográfico – FDC.
Documental ´Sobre la mesa´
Elvira Hernández dirige el documental Sobre la mesa en el cual, durante 85 minutos, unos encuentros gastronómicos se convierten en el espacio de reflexión y diálogo propicio para invitar a diferentes actores comprometidos con la educación superior en Colombia, buscando entender y conocer su situación actual en el momento que transita el país. Sobre la Mesa se colocan las cartas impregnadas con los problemas actuales, se aclaran diferencias y se buscan soluciones.
En este documental participan estudiantes y profesores de diversas universidades colombianas como Leopoldo Múnera, María Cristina Martínez, Adolfo Atehortúa y Olga Cecilia Díaz Flores, quienes conversan en diferentes locaciones, como el campus de la Universidad Nacional en Bogotá, para generar un ambiente propicio para que de una manera amena y cercana, profesores y estudiantes debatan sobre temas relacionados con la educación, como la igualdad, la justicia, la inclusión y el acceso equitativo a oportunidades.
La película producida por PisoSie7e cuenta con Javier Galavis López como productor asociado, Lola Gómez Castello en la dirección de fotografía y Sonia Poveda Lasso en el sonido directo. Juan Manuel Fernández Mora participa en la asistencia de sonido, Lina María Martínez en la producción de campo, Carlos Federico Hernández en el montaje, Felipe H. Restrepo en la colorización, Javier Galavis López y Mauricio Guapacha en el montaje de sonido, Sue Manuela Montilla Beltrán en animación y graficación, Lola Gómez Castello y Gustavo Torres en cámaras, y Carlos Augusto Hernández y Gina Quintero prestan sus voces para la animación, entre otros. Llega a la cartelera colombiana con la distribución de Alterna Vista.
Película ´Yo vi tres luces negras´
Ese mismo día, con la distribución de DOC:CO, se estrena Yo vi tres luces negras de Santiago Lozano. La historia sigue a José de los Santos, un anciano sabio que emprende un viaje hacia la selva del litoral Pacífico colombiano en busca de su encuentro final con la muerte. En su travesía, José se enfrenta a los desafíos de la naturaleza y la violencia de los grupos armados, mientras reflexiona sobre la vida, la muerte y la relación entre el ser humano y la tierra.
La película es producida por Ana María Ruiz Navia y Oscar Ruiz Navia de Contravía Films en coproducción con Malacosa Cine (México), Dublin Films (Francia), Autentika Films (Alemania) y Bárbara Films (Colombia). Luego de su estreno mundial en la sección Panorama del 74 Festival de Cine de Berlín (2024), fue galardonada con el Grand Prix Coup De Coeur en la edición 36 del Festival de Cine de Toulouse, hizo parte de la Competencia Oficial de la edición 63 del Festival Internacional de Cine de Cartagena de Indias (FICCI) y próximamente participará en la Competencia de Largometraje Iberoamericano de Ficción del 39 Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara (FICG).
En su etapa de desarrollo participó en la Residencia de Cinefondation del Festival de Cannes, donde recibió el Premio del CNC de Desarrollo al mejor proyecto en 2018. Además recibió el estímulo de posproducción del Vision Sud Est en Suiza, el Fondo para el Desarrollo Cinematográfico – FDC, el Fondo Regional de Nouvelle Aquitaine de Bordeaux F.I.LM. Francia, la ayuda a la coproducción de Ibermedia, Eficine México y el World Cinema Fund del Festival de Cine de Berlín. También fue ganadora del premio Fox-Telecolombia al mejor proyecto en el Bogotá Audiovisual Market – BAM 2021.
“Esta película representa mi deseo de sumergirme en un viaje hacia el mundo de los muertos. Un descenso hacia la selva para acudir a la cita de mi personaje con su muerte. En esta selva, los muertos deambulan, perdidos. Aquí en Colombia, en esta guerra que dobla mi edad en duración, de la que tanto se hace eco en el resto del mundo, emprender un viaje al mundo de los muertos, es ir al encuentro con los desaparecidos, con los silenciados, con los descuartizados, con los arrojados al río, con los sepultados en fosas comunes”, asegura Santiago Lozano en su nota de dirección.
Yo vi tres luces negras, luego de su estreno en Colombia, tendrá distribución en Estados Unidos y Canadá por parte de Outsider Pictures.
